Mario Carranza-Flores - Associate Attorney, Amarillo Office
About
Mario E. Carranza-Flores was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (B.S.C.J.) from Texas State University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to going to law school, Mario worked as an electrician with his father where he learned firsthand about the exploitation and struggles immigrant workers often faced in the construction field.
While in the Law School he took various Immigration courses and was a member and the Treasurer of the Immigration Law Association from 2020-2022. He was also a member of the Capital Punishment Clinic in 2022 where he assisted in various cases against the state of Texas which sought the death penalty. He also served as a Law Clerk for the Texas Tech University Student Legal Services from 2020-2022 where he assisted in a wide range of legal issues ranging from contractual and employment disputes to criminal law matters. In 2022, He joined Whittenburg & Strange, P.C. as an Immigration Attorney.
In his free time, Mario enjoys gaming, playing percussion, going back to Galveston to visit family, and learning to paint art.
