Anthony R. Skeen – Senior Attorney, Lubbock Office
About
Anthony was born in Seoul, South Korea. At three-months old, he was adopted by his two U.S. Citizen parents, who brought him to Texas where he has lived ever since. His professional journey is a unique one—he began his professional career as an automotive mechanic but, one day, he decided to pursue higher education and law school.
In 2015, Anthony graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He then attended Texas Tech University School of Law from 2015-2018, earning both a Juris Doctorate degree and a Master of Business Administration. While attending law school, Anthony worked as a law clerk at the Whittenburg Law Firm. After graduation and becoming licensed in Texas, he briefly worked at the Whittenburg Law Firm as an attorney before making the tough decision to relocate to Dallas, Texas to work as an Associate attorney at a global corporate immigration law firm.
During his time in Dallas, Texas, Anthony worked as an Associate attorney at two global corporate immigration firms, with his practice primarily focusing on all aspects of employment-based immigration law, including nonimmigrant visa petitions, PERM, EB-1 and PERM-based immigrant petitions, and adjustment of status applications. He handled a broad range of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters for Fortune 100 corporations across multiple industries, including telecommunications and technology.
After years of working in the corporate world, Anthony developed a strong desire to return to his passion to help individuals from smaller immigrant communities. In June 2025, Anthony returned to the Whittenburg Law Firm, now armed with years of experience in both employment-based and family-based immigration law. His particular experience practicing all aspects of employment-based immigration will
continue to be a huge asset towards assisting clients in West Texas and beyond.
Anthony has practiced Immigration and Nationality Law exclusively since 2018 when he became licensed to practice law in Texas.
In his free time, Anthony enjoys spending time with his family. He loves being with his wife and helping her wrangle their young boys.
